Our Journey

Since its founding in 1995, Plano Fire-Rescue Associates, Inc. (PFRA) has been dedicated to supporting the Plano Fire-Rescue Department. Driven by a strong commitment to community outreach and education, PFRA works to strengthen fire and life safety awareness throughout the community. PFRA is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) volunteer organization, operating independently of both the City of Plano and the Fire-Rescue Department. Through fundraising and volunteer efforts, PFRA supports department initiatives and funds programs that benefit fire personnel, their families, and the community.

Our People

PFRA is a community of volunteers who live or work in Plano, brought together by a shared commitment to support and strengthen our local fire department. What began as a small group has grown into a dedicated and enduring organization, rooted in service and connection.

Today, PFRA is proud to include more than 95 active members—all graduates of the Plano Citizens Fire Academy. These graduates are not only the heart of our organization, but also the future of it, as each new class continues to carry forward the spirit of service, support, and community that defines PFRA.
