PFRA is always looking for new ways to serve the Plano Fire Department. We invite all Department Members to make recommendations as to how we may further support them and our community.

Department Training
PFRA members often support the training
objectives of the Plano Fire Department, the Department's Explorer program,
and local hospitals. Often times, PFRA volunteers play the role of victims
to provide a realistic training environment for the firefighters, hospital
personnel, and explorers involved.
Vacation
Safety School
In 2005 PFRA assisted PFD in their
support of the Plano Police Department's Vacation Safety School.
This safety school is available to children 6-9 years of age; there are
four classes of 30 children each year. One day of each class is spent
at Station 1 where the children tour the station, an engine, and the Child's
Safety House. The small folks suit-up in bunker gear and have their
pictures taken. PFRA is pleased to be able to assist PFD and PPD
with these classes.
Child Seat
Distribution
In 2004 PFRA assisted PFD in the distribution
of child safety seats to qualifying families. These families were
required to have training in the proper installation of these seats in
their automobiles - PFRA assisted in these training activities.
